A little about Camp Yawgoog

 

Web1Yawgoog Scout Reservation consists of over 1600 acres surrounding beautiful Yawgoog Pond and bordering Wincheck Pond..  Four year-round resident Rangers attend to the maintenance and development of our property.  Strict standards regarding health, safety, and cleanliness are maintained and Yawgoog Scout Reservation is nationally accredited by the Boy Scouts of America.

A nationally certified Reservation Director administers summer  camp at Yawgoog Scout Reservation and all Key Staff are certified in their respective area of expertise and responsibility. Our Staff is carefully selected and reflects the principles of dedication established throughout the Scouting Program.  A full-time health care provider is always on duty at our Health Lodge.

Web2A week long adventure for Webelos Scouts.  Our Nationally Certified Staff will be on hand to ensure a safe, successful and fun filled  camping experience. Parents or Den Leaders are welcome to attend if they wish. A Den or Pack sending four or more Scouts will be allowed to have one Leader stay the week for free. The week long program For Webelos at Yawgoog is only $380. For those wishing to stay a second week or more the fee is $190 per extra week. Den Leaders wishing to spend the week pay only $175. New for 2010, we are offering the opportunity for Scouts to spend Sun through Wednesday evening at our webelos Outdoor Adventure for only $225. Those that attend the half week have the opportunity to pay the balance of the $380 weekly fee or $155 and stay until Sunday.

Web3An Outdoor Adventure for Webelos Scouts, with or without their parents or Den Leader! No camping experience is necessary.  Just come with your personal equipment and your Scout spirit. Our trained staff will take care of the rest.           

NON-DISCRIMINATION POLICY: The programs of the Narragansett Council are available to all children and youth without regard to race, color, religion, handicap, age or national origin. Our programs at Yawgoog Scout Reservation are open to all registered Scouts.

 

Web4SUNDAY IS VISITOR’S DAY: Sunday marks the end to a full week at Yawgoog and Mom and Dad and the entire family can join in all the excitement. Come early and enjoy Chief Yawgoog’s famous chicken barbeque. Reservations must be made no later than Wednesday of your week in camp. The barbeque is served from 11:15 to 12:15. The Dress Parade begins at 12:30 PM.

Week Three: July 11 to July 14
Week Four: July 18 to July 21
